Hi, My name is Betty Perkins-Carpenter, and I would like to share some of my experiences in the field of physical fitness and aging. Movement is the key to quality of life! There is simply no comparison between the physical and mental well-being of seniors who stay active and those who do not. How old are you? It's a question that is meant to remind you that together, your mind and body can keep you younger than your years. Exercise can reverse many of the effects of aging and improve all the senses, and mobility as well. Posture and poise are enhanced too. Exercise causes the blood to carry more oxygen to the brain, increasing both mental and physical efficiency. STRETCHING is an exercise! It is extremely important and yet it is too often an overlooked aspect of our total fitness. I have therefore written the book How To Prevent Falls which has 35 fun, effective exercises to improve balance and flexibility and strengthen our legs. Also the Guide called Stretching In Bed so that we can have days in which we can do what we want to do with less stiffness and pain. Therefore please go on a journey and adventure with me through the Senior Fitness web site to help you to enjoy life and be the very best that you can be. May you always walk in the sunshine of life.
